11 Sep Jonathan Solley Joins the Teams at Pentins
I’m Jonathan Solley and I joined Pentins Financial Planners as a financial administrator this month. When I left University, I wanted a career in a profession that would give me an opportunity to add value to people’s lives, have flexibility and variety and give me a lot of customer satisfaction.
I felt that Pentins offered me some key attributes to accelerate my success – a highly experienced team of financial experts, a close-knit working environment and the focus that Pentin’s places on really understanding the clients hopes and dreams ahead of providing the appropriate independent advice and guidance. Taking time with client’s up front builds the trust needed to ensure a successful long-term client relationship which is good for everyone. In my first month I’ve already had the privilege of sitting in on a number of client meetings, which has been fantastic for me in obtaining an understand of how Pentins communicates their ideas and advice to new and existing clients.
It hardly seems like 5 minutes since I drove into the car park at the top of University Hill and into the Canterbury Innovation Centre for my first working day at Pentins Financial Planners. I’m almost a month in and time has flown. Thanks to everyone on the team – who have all been approachable and helpful – I’ve been able to hit the ground running and add value right away. I’m starting to get a handle of the ways of working, the various financial planning systems and processes and especially the names of the key clients and financial providers. Every day is different and I’m learning all the time.
I joined as a Financial Administrator and Trainee Paraplanner and will be embarking on a Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning, so I’m looking forward to getting started on with my first module of studies next month!
Of course, I’ve been lucky enough to start in the summer when the roads are quiet – I’m in for a bit of a shock when the schools return in September, so I may have to set my alarm clock a bit earlier!!
